Tata Power Signs MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government in Presence of Minister Nara Lokesh
Tata Power’s subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to collaborate on the development of renewable energy projects in the state. The agreement aims to explore new opportunities in the sector and was formalized today in the presence of Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics of Andhra Pradesh.
As per the MoU, an estimated investment of ₹49,000 crore is expected to be made in the state’s renewable energy sector. Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh stated that the agreement aligns with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to accelerate the transformation towards achieving green energy goals in the state.
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited CEO and Managing Director Deepesh Nanda expressed his enthusiasm about partnering with the Andhra Pradesh government in the renewable energy sector, emphasizing the significance of this collaboration.
Several key officials attended the event, including Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited CFO Amit Mimani, Group Head (Planning Renewables) Taher Lokhandwala, Lead (Strategy) Garima Choudhary, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Chief Secretary to the Andhra Pradesh Government Vijay Anand, NREDCAP MD Kamalakar Babu, and General Manager (Wind & Solar) K. Srinivas.
