Nimmala Attends Assembly Despite Fever; Lokesh Urges Rest
Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu, despite suffering from fever, continued to attend the Assembly sessions, prompting a response from Nara Lokesh. When Lokesh met Nimmala in the lobby earlier, he advised him to take rest. However, Nimmala responded that he would rest only after the Assembly sessions concluded. Lokesh later brought up the matter in the Assembly as well.
Speaking while Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju was in the Chair, Lokesh said, “Mr. Speaker, Minister Nimmala is unwell, but he refuses to rest despite being advised. Perhaps if you issue a ruling, he might listen. I told him to take two days of rest and return once he recovers, but he is not paying heed. Please intervene, Mr. Speaker. This is a serious matter.”
BJP Floor Leader Vishnu Kumar Raju also echoed Lokesh’s concerns, stating, “It is not appropriate for someone with fever to attend the session without taking rest, Mr. Speaker. You should issue a ruling and request Nimmala on behalf of all of us.”
Responding to the discussion, Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju referred to Minister Nimmala as a “workaholic.”
