Soon, We Will Give BJP a Return Gift: Minister Sridhar Babu

Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu stated that the Congress party would soon give the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a "return gift." Speaking to the media following the results of the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections, he alleged that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the BJP had colluded to defeat the Congress.

Sridhar Babu accused the BRS and BJP of having a strong alliance, describing it as a "Fevicol bond" and claiming that the MLC election results reaffirmed their connection. He further stated that the BRS’ collaboration with the BJP marked the beginning of its downfall. He criticized the BRS for working hard to ensure BJP's victory in the MLC elections.

Referring to the election outcome as a "Ramadan gift" from the BRS and BJP to the Congress, Sridhar Babu remarked that the Congress would soon reciprocate with a return gift. He also asserted that the votes received by Ravinder Singh, the BRS-backed candidate in the Graduates’ MLC elections, were based on his personal standing rather than the party’s support.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also alleged that the BJP and BRS had worked together to defeat the Congress candidate in the MLC elections. He criticized the BRS for not fielding its own candidate and instead aligning with the BJP.

He questioned where leaders K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and Harish Rao had cast their votes in the MLC elections held in their respective constituencies. He stated that the Congress party would conduct a thorough review of its defeat in these elections.
