Jagan throws a challenge to Babu on power

Hyderabad, March 24, 2015: Calling the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's figures on power generation, distribution and tariff utterly false and a pack of lies, Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy threw a challenge in the assembly on Tuesday that he is ready to take up a debate with the CM and prove the figures wrong. "If I prove you wrong, will you quit your post ?" he asked the CM in the House during his speech on the power tariff hike. "All your figures are totally wrong and what you said is a pack of lies." Asserting that his party has stoutly opposed the power tariff hike, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the Chief Minister has gone back on his pre-election promise that he would not hike the power charges. Replying to Jagan Mohan Reddy's charges, Chandrababu has said the power tariff hike would affect only 14 per cent people. "86 per cent of the people will not feel the hike," he said, adding that Government has been sincerely trying to supply quality power to the people.
