Oscars 2025 Highlights: Who Won Big This Year?

The prestigious 97th Academy Awards ceremony is taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with great fanfare. The event, which is considered the highest honor in the film industry, is being attended by numerous actors, filmmakers, and technicians. The awards presentation began with the Best Supporting Actor category and will conclude with the announcement of the Best Picture award.

Kieran Kyle Culkin won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in A Real Pain, while Zoë Saldaña received the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Emilia Pérez. Dune: Part Two, which was a massive box-office success last year, secured Oscars for Best Sound and Best Visual Effects.

India’s nominated film Anuj in the Live Action Short Film category, however, did not win. Instead, I Am Not a Robot took home the award for Best Live Action Short Film. The ceremony is being hosted by actress Amelia Dimoldenberg.
