Munurukapu Leaders Meet at V. Hanumantha Rao’s Residence; Key BJP and BRS Leaders Attend

A meeting of Munurukapu community leaders was held at the residence of senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao. Leaders from the Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attended the gathering.

During the meeting, several Munurukapu leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of representation of their community in the Telangana cabinet. They also voiced concerns that their importance within political parties had diminished.

Congress government whip Aadi Srinivas proposed organizing a gratitude meeting regarding the caste census. However, some Munurukapu leaders criticized the caste enumeration process, alleging that their community’s population was undercounted. They claimed that this was the first time the Munurukapu community had been completely excluded from the state cabinet and also alleged that they were being sidelined in nominated positions.

The leaders decided to hold a Munurukapu community meeting soon to address these concerns.
