AP hikes power tariff by 5% for those using more than 200 units a month
Hyderabad, March 23, 2015: The AP Government has hiked power charges by five percent for domestic consumers having a monthly consumption of more than 200 units.
Domestic consumers spending more than 200 units in a month will experience 5 percent hike, according the AP Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Bhavani Prasad.
The hike would not be applicable for those consuming less than 200 units of power, he told a news conference in Hyderabad.
The hike will also not apply to agriculture and cottage industries, he said.
