Posani Remanded for 14 Days; Ponnavolu to Challenge in High Court

Actor Posani Krishna Murali has been remanded for 14 days by the Railway Koduru court in a case related to alleged derogatory remarks against Pawan Kalyan and statements deemed to incite discord in the film industry.

Commenting on the court's decision, Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, YSR Congress Party leader and Posani’s legal counsel, stated that they would challenge the ruling in the High Court. He remarked that the remand decision appeared akin to an "operation being successful but the patient dying."

Ponnavolu further stated that the magistrate did not consider Section 111 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) in Posani’s case. He claimed that their legal team viewed this as a partial success. He also noted that the magistrate concurred with the police’s assertion that Posani’s comments could incite communal discord, leading to the remand order.
