Posani Krishna Murali Sent to 14-Day Remand, Transferred to Rajampet Sub-Jail
Cine actor Posani Krishna Murali has been remanded to 14 days by the Railway Kodur Court. Following the court’s decision, police transferred him to Rajampet Sub-Jail. Authorities are expected to file a petition seeking his custody later today.
According to the remand report, police have leveled serious allegations against Posani Krishna Murali. They claim that his statements incited caste-based divisions. Additionally, they alleged that he used offensive language against the current Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and his family. The report also states that Posani Krishna Murali attributed a particular caste to the film industry and made derogatory comments about the Nandi Awards Committee based on caste. Furthermore, police claim that he used abusive language against Nara Lokesh.
Officials revealed that 14 cases have already been registered against Posani Krishna Murali across Andhra Pradesh.
Posani Krishna Murali was arrested by Andhra Pradesh police in Hyderabad on Wednesday. On Thursday, he was interrogated for nearly nine hours at Obulavaripalle Police Station under the supervision of district SP Vidyasagar. Later, he was presented before the judge at night. After prolonged legal proceedings from 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM, the Railway Court ordered a 14-day remand. As a result, Posani Krishna Murali will remain in custody until March 13.
