Bangladeshi Cricketer Performs Abhishekam to Shiva Lingams on Maha Shivaratri

Bangladeshi cricketer Litton Das performed a special abhishekam (ritual offering) to Shiva Lingams on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. He shared photos of the ritual on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Litton Das, who hails from a Hindu family in Bangladesh, visited a Shiva temple and offered prayers on this auspicious day. His devotional gesture has received widespread appreciation online.

Notably, Litton Das’s house was vandalized during recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Despite this, he participated in the religious observance, and his act of faith has been praised on social media.

In a similar gesture, Keshav Maharaj, a South African cricketer of Indian descent, also extended Maha Shivaratri greetings through his Instagram story.
