Purandeswari Slams Jagan for Brief Assembly Visit, Questions Opposition Status
BJP Andhra Pradesh President and MP Daggubati Purandeswari has strongly criticized YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party MLAs for their brief presence in the Assembly before leaving immediately. She alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the Assembly only to mark his attendance, fearing the cancellation of his MLA membership.

Purandeswari stated that Jagan Mohan Reddy should have spoken on public issues instead of merely attending for formalities. She criticized the YSRCP leader for failing to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him by the people. Additionally, she questioned how a party with only 11 MLAs could claim the status of the Opposition, asserting that a specific number of seats is required to attain that recognition.

She accused the previous YSRCP government of turning the Assembly into a platform for political maneuvering rather than a forum for meaningful discussions.

Regarding the Union Budget, Purandeswari stated that it was prepared in alignment with the ideologies of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. She criticized Congress leaders for allegedly disrespecting Ambedkar. She emphasized that the budget prioritizes youth, women, and farmers, highlighting a special initiative supporting women in agriculture through drone technology.

Purandeswari also announced that the central government plans to construct three crore houses for the underprivileged in the next five years. She inaugurated new buildings at the Rajahmundry ESI Hospital and assured efforts to facilitate surgical procedures there. Furthermore, she mentioned that the central government is actively working on the development of railway stations in Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, and Nellore.
