Pakistan Captain Showers Praise on Virat Kohli
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has lavished praise on Indian cricket star Virat Kohli following his match-winning century. The longstanding debate over who is the greater batter between India’s Virat Kohli and Pakistan’s Babar Azam resurfaced after their recent match, where Babar managed only 23 runs while Kohli's century led India to a remarkable victory.
Speaking about Kohli’s performance, Rizwan acknowledged the immense effort that must have gone into preparing for the match. "After watching his innings, it is clear how hard he must have worked. We tried to contain him, but he dismantled all our plans and scored runs with ease, taking the match away from us," Rizwan stated.
He also praised Kohli’s dedication to fitness, emphasizing that it sets him apart. "We are all cricketers, but the way Kohli maintains his fitness is truly commendable. His commitment in this aspect is on another level," Rizwan remarked.
Rizwan admitted that all their efforts to dismiss Kohli had failed. "People were saying he was out of form, but yesterday he played a massive innings and snatched the match away from us," he said, acknowledging Kohli’s brilliance on the field.
