Court Grants Police Custody of YSRCP Leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi
In a major legal setback for YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a court in Vijayawada has permitted the police to take him into custody for questioning in connection with a kidnapping case. The case pertains to the alleged abduction of Satyavardhan, an employee at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office.

The SC/ST court in Vijayawada issued its ruling, allowing the police to take Vallabhaneni Vamsi into custody for a period of three days. However, the court has imposed several conditions on the police during the interrogation process. It has instructed that the questioning must take place within the Vijayawada jurisdiction and only in the presence of a legal representative.

Additionally, the court has stipulated that the interrogation should be conducted strictly between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Medical examinations are to be carried out both in the morning and the evening. Considering Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s reported health condition, particularly his complaints of back pain, the court has also directed authorities to provide him with a bed for rest.
