Chandrababu Responds to Telangana Leaders’ Allegations of Water Exploitation
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has responded to allegations made by Telangana leaders, including Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, accusing Andhra Pradesh of water exploitation. Chandrababu Naidu dismissed these claims, asserting that Andhra Pradesh is utilizing Krishna River water strictly within its allocated share.
He stated that the allegations of Andhra Pradesh drawing excess water from the Krishna River are baseless. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the state is only using the water allocated to it as per its entitlement. He further noted that there is an abundance of surplus water in the Godavari River, which is flowing into the sea, and Andhra Pradesh is making use of this excess water.
However, Chandrababu Naidu acknowledged that there are certain issues concerning Krishna River water distribution that require a prompt resolution.
