KCR’s Era in Politics Has Ended: Mahesh Kumar Goud
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud has asserted that the political era of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has come to an end. He stated that KCR would only be respected as a leader of the Telangana movement and questioned whether the Congress party’s popularity in the state would decline just because KCR said so.

Speaking to the media in Nizamabad, Mahesh Kumar Goud emphasized that the people of Telangana are firmly behind the Congress party. “How can our popularity decrease when the public stands with us?” he asked. Criticizing KCR, he remarked, “Can someone sitting in a farmhouse, drawing graphs with a pen and paper, determine the Congress party’s position in the state?”

He further claimed that 56% of the Backward Classes (BCs) support the Congress party. Highlighting the achievements of the government in its first year, he stated, “We have provided 56,000 jobs and fulfilled key promises, including farm loan waivers. How can anyone claim that our popularity is declining?”

Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that KCR’s political influence has collapsed entirely and is now confined to his farmhouse. He predicted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would be completely wiped out in the coming days, adding that only KCR and his son would remain in the party. He also criticized KCR for allegedly indulging in daydreams about returning to power and suggested that he should permanently retire from politics.

Referring to the upcoming graduate constituency elections, Mahesh Kumar Goud ridiculed the BRS for lacking the strength to field a candidate. “It is ironic that a party unable to contest even in graduate elections is claiming that it will return to power,” he remarked.
