Revanth Reddy Emphasizes Strict Water Management for Crops
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed district collectors and irrigation officials to remain vigilant over the next three months in light of the summer season. He instructed them to release water for crops under various irrigation projects as per the planned schedule. The Chief Minister, along with Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, held a review meeting today with the concerned officials, during which he made these remarks.
Revanth Reddy emphasized the need to take all necessary precautions considering the challenges that arise with rising temperatures. He urged officials to conduct field visits to assess ground conditions and ensure that farmers do not face difficulties or crop losses due to water scarcity.
The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of careful management of Krishna River waters. He directed officials to prevent Andhra Pradesh from drawing more than its allocated share and suggested implementing a telemetry system to monitor water usage effectively.
