Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor Commends PM Modi’s Talks with Donald Trump

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his discussions with former U.S. President Donald Trump were promising for India. Tharoor commended Modi’s conduct during the high-level meeting, emphasizing that the Prime Minister carried himself with dignity. He also expressed optimism that several pressing issues India faces would soon be resolved.

Tharoor also commented on the tariffs imposed by the United States on Indian exports. He noted that the U.S. was enforcing high tariffs and cautioned that hasty actions by India could impact other exported goods.

Regarding illegal immigration, Prime Minister Modi made significant remarks during his visit to the U.S. He asserted that Indian nationals residing unlawfully in the U.S. would be brought back to India. Modi emphasized that individuals entering a country illegally do not have the right to stay there, adding that this principle should be uniformly applied worldwide. He urged Indians who had migrated illegally to return to their homeland.
