Vallabhaneni Vamsi Transferred to Krishnalanka Police Station; Interrogation Underway

Former MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was arrested by Patamata police in Vijayawada in connection with a case of kidnapping, intimidation, and assault, has been transferred to Krishnalanka Police Station. Police detained him in Hyderabad and directly shifted him to Vijayawada. Initially, he was taken to Bhavanipuram Police Station, but authorities later changed the vehicle and transported him via multiple routes before finally reaching Krishnalanka Police Station, where he is currently being interrogated. The questioning has been ongoing for the past hour.

Officials are expected to conduct a medical examination soon before presenting Vamsi before the judge. Meanwhile, his legal team is likely to approach the court. Authorities have registered a case against him under seven different sections, including non-bailable offenses. Security has been tightened around Krishnalanka Police Station in response to the situation.

The arrest has intensified the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP leaders have criticized the arrest as unlawful, alleging political vendetta. On the other hand, TDP leaders have stated that individuals like Vamsi must be punished.
