YS Jagan Asserts Commitment to Party Workers, Predicts YSRCP’s Return to Power

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with party leaders from the undivided Guntur district. During the discussion, he made several remarks about his governance and the current political scenario in Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the period from 2019 to 2024 was governed by "Jagan 1.0," during which the YSRCP administration functioned in an unprecedented manner. He asserted that corruption was eliminated, and ₹2.71 lakh crore was directly transferred into the bank accounts of beneficiaries.
Regarding the future, Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that in "Jagan 2.0," every party worker would have his support and that he would stand as a "big brother" for them. He declared that he would remain active in politics for the next 25 to 30 years. He acknowledged that the COVID-19 pandemic affected two years of YSRCP governance, which limited the support that could be extended to party workers.
Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), stating that its leaders could not freely visit villages or go door to door. He mocked the TDP's election slogan, "Babu Surety – Future Guarantee," claiming that it had now turned into "Babu Surety – Deception Guarantee." He accused the current government of being plagued by scams and alleged that it was engaging in illegal activities such as gambling clubs, sand scams, and liquor scams. He warned that those involved in illegal or unjust activities would not be spared and would be held accountable under the law.
Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that in the coming days, more false cases would be filed against YSRCP leaders and that arrests would be made. He assured party workers that when his government returns, it will work closely with the people to bring positive change. He also claimed that democracy was "murdered" during the recent local body elections. He pointed out that during the YSRCP government, TDP had won only two municipalities, adding that if YSRCP had pushed harder, those too would have been lost to TDP.
He accused the TDP of resorting to unethical practices and questioned whether Chandrababu Naidu, who "deceived the people," should not be charged under Section 420 for fraud. Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that YSRCP still secured 40% of the votes in the recent elections and attributed the 10% vote share decline to his refusal to make false promises, unlike his political opponents.
He further remarked, “If we face such a situation despite working for the people, what will happen to those in the alliance government who have deceived the public and failed to keep their promises?” Concluding his speech, he expressed confidence that YSRCP would return to power and urged his party members to stay strong and resolute.
