MeeSeva Centers See Heavy Rush as Telangana Opens New Ration Card Applications

The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has clarified that individuals who have already applied for ration cards through the Prajapalana or Prajavani programs do not need to reapply via MeeSeva. Officials reiterated that the applications received under Prajapalana are currently under review, and there is no requirement for applicants to submit a new request.

Meanwhile, MeeSeva centers across the state are witnessing a surge in applications after the Telangana government allowed new ration card registrations. Civil Supplies Department officials have instructed MeeSeva staff to start accepting applications, leading to heavy crowds at various centers. Many applicants began queuing up early in the morning, and officials confirmed that the online application system was made available from Monday night.
