Rejected love pushed IAS officer DK Ravi to kill self

Bengaluru, March 20, 2015: A new angle in shape of a failed one-sided love story with his batch mate, has come to light confirming the theory that the dare-devil deceased IAS officer of Karnataka D.K Ravi had committed suicide. The course mate of Ravi, who is now a District Collector in Karnataka , originally belongs to AP. Both Ravi and the lady IAS officer , who has married a techie-turned real estate business man, are from the 2009 batch. Both were toppers in their 2009 batch. She opted for Karnataka after her IAS training. The lady officer , who rushed to Bengaluru after she heard of the death of Ravi, has been camping in the city for the last few days and has revealed to the chief secretary that Ravi had sent her several chilling messages asking her to marry him. She has been consistently rejecting his moves. Ravi, who was upset with his wife's hidden past, has been asking his batch mate to give up her present marriage and marry him. She got several email and text messages to this effect. But she never obliged him. On the other hand, Ravi was also upset with his wife for keeping her past secret from him. She had reportedly eloped and secretly married her beau during her college days. When his wife Kusuma came to know of his moves with his batch mate, she and her family also threatened to file a dowry harassment case against him. This had pushed him into depression, according to reports emanating from Bengaluru. On the day when he was found hanging in his official residence, Ravi asked his batch-mate finally to break up her marriage and marry him. He also threatened to commit suicide if she didn't agree to his proposal. However, she rejected his moves and told him bluntly that she would never break up her marriage with her software engineer turned business man.This had perhaps caused much stress on him forcing him to take the extreme step of committing suicide. He sent her a final text message saying, " Let us meet in our next lives."
