Virat Kohli Fans Receive Positive Update from Batting Coach
Team India’s senior batsman Virat Kohli did not play in the first ODI against England due to a knee issue. Captain Rohit Sharma had earlier confirmed that Kohli was not included in the final squad because of this injury.
Ahead of the second ODI between India and England, scheduled for February 9, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak provided encouraging news for Kohli’s fans. Kotak stated that Kohli is match-fit, attended the practice session, and batted without any issues. He added that there is a possibility of Kohli playing in the second ODI.
When asked about which player—Yashasvi Jaiswal or Shreyas Iyer—would be left out if Kohli returns to the squad, Kotak avoided giving a direct answer. He stated that the decision rests with captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir, and he could not comment on the matter.
