Telangana Inter Board Takes Key Decision on Exam Security
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has implemented stringent measures to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of intermediate examinations. As part of these efforts, the board has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in examination centers to prevent any irregularities.
With the commencement of practical examinations, CCTV cameras have been set up in the respective centers. The board has rented cameras for 417 colleges, while some corporate colleges already have existing surveillance systems in place. Institutions that oppose the installation of CCTV cameras have been denied exam center status.
Krishna Aditya, Secretary of the Telangana Inter Board, stated that 90% of exam centers have been equipped with CCTV cameras. He further mentioned that the examination centers are being integrated with a central command control system for enhanced monitoring. Additionally, CCTV surveillance will also be implemented for theory examinations.
According to the board, cameras will be placed in crucial locations, including the rooms where exam papers are opened, the main entrance of the centers, corridors, and even open ground areas within the premises. These measures are intended to ensure transparency and curb malpractices during the examination process.
