Nagababu Targets Peddireddy, Jagan, and YSRCP in Punganur Rally

Chittor district’s Punganur constituency witnessed a massive public gathering as part of the "Janam Loki Janasena" campaign, where Jana Sena Party’s General Secretary Nagababu addressed the crowd in Somala village. During his speech, he remarked that some people had warned him to be cautious, stating that everyone in the area feared Peddireddy. However, he asserted, “Not just Peddireddy, even if any other Reddy comes, we will not be afraid.”

Nagababu further stated, “We were not afraid of Peddireddy, nor of their leader Jagan, nor even Jagan’s father, Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Who is this man compared to them? Under Pawan Kalyan’s leadership, we are moving forward with justice and righteousness. We will not fear Peddireddy, Subbareddy, or any other Reddy.”

He accused Peddireddy of land grabbing, alleging that he had orchestrated the destruction of land records at the Madanapalle Tehsildar office. He claimed that the burnt files mainly contained government land records under Section 22-A and cited CID officials’ confirmation of this. Nagababu warned that in the coalition government, those guilty of wrongdoing would not escape justice.

Nagababu ridiculed YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders, stating that they lacked the courage to even approach the Legislative Assembly. He mocked their complaints about not being given a microphone in the Assembly, saying, “How will you get a mic if you don’t even show up?” He urged Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to come to the Assembly and make his voice heard.

Criticizing Peddireddy’s alleged wealth accumulation, Nagababu remarked, “This Peddireddy has amassed illegal assets worth ₹2 lakh crore. But the most shameful part is that after being elected by the people, you don’t even have the courage to attend the Assembly and speak on behalf of your constituency. Not just you—what is the point of 11 MLAs winning with Jagan if you all can’t even attend the sessions?”

He advised YSRCP leaders to stop making baseless statements and instead observe the coalition government’s initiatives. “To those in YSRCP who speak without thinking, let me tell you—our government has increased pensions for the elderly and widows by ₹1,000, raising them to ₹4,000. We are distributing these increased pensions directly at their doorsteps every month. We have doubled pensions for persons with disabilities. In contrast, in the first four months of Jagan’s government, the only increase was ₹250—no other promises were implemented,” he criticized.

Nagababu highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the coalition government, stating that ₹15,000 crore had been secured for Amaravati’s capital development and ₹12,000 crore for the Polavaram project from the central government. Under the Deepam scheme, 80 lakh beneficiaries were receiving three free LPG cylinders annually. He further stated that ₹361 crore was allocated for repairing damaged roads across the state, and feeder ambulances were introduced in tribal areas for emergency medical services.

The government, he said, was actively filling vacant positions, with 16,347 teacher posts being recruited through the Mega DSC process and 6,000 police jobs also being filled. He noted that the coalition government had scrapped the garbage tax and Land Titling Act while ensuring free sand distribution to reduce financial burdens on the poor. Additionally, Government Orders (GOs) No. 217 and 144, which allegedly affected the livelihoods of fishermen, were revoked.

Nagababu emphasized that nearly 20 major companies had committed ₹6.33 lakh crore in investments since the coalition government came to power, generating employment opportunities for 4 lakh people. He pointed out that the TCS Data Center in Visakhapatnam alone would create 10,000 jobs.

He also stated that, unlike in the past, farmers were receiving payment within 48 hours of selling their produce. Moreover, loans for DWCRA women’s self-help groups had been increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh, with zero interest.
