AS 8 YSRCP MLAs suspended from House, Jagan leads walk out

Hyderabad, March 19, 2015: Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad has suspended eight YSRCP MLAs on Thursday from the assembly for disrupting the proceedings in the House. Kodalin Nani, Srikanth Reddy, Chevi Reddy Bhaskara Reddy, Muthyala Naidu, Jaggi Reddy, P.Ramakrishna Reddy, Sivaprasad Reddy and Chand Pasha were suspended for three days after the Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu moved a resolution for their suspension. The suspended members continued to sit in the House and raise slogans disturbing the proceedings. Marshals of the House forcibly evicted them on Speaker's orders. Later, Opposition leader Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy staged a walk out alleging that the Speaker Kodela has been behaving like a TDP leader. "I have never seen such a Speaker," he said leading the walk out from the House after greeting the members with folded hands. After the yesterday's outrage in the assembly wherein members of both parties abused each other in filthy language, every one expected the members to discuss people's issues at least on Thursday. However, the House began its session today also on a noisy note with YSRCP members seeking enough time to discuss the people's issues. The government has decided to suspend them after the YSRCP MLAs called the Speaker 'Joker' and raised slogans saying 'Speaker down down'. They have also stormed the Speaker's podium and argued with him disrupting the proceedings for a while.
