He further stated that law and order in the state remains under control, with the exception of cybercrime. He noted that the department has been adopting new technologies, leading to a reduction in crime rates. According to him, crimes against women and children have decreased by 9.5%. Additionally, he highlighted that a special focus on road safety has resulted in a decline in road accidents.
Dwaraka Tirumala Rao also emphasized the installation of CCTV cameras with public participation, revealing that 25,000 cameras have been installed so far. The target is to install 100,000 cameras by March 31. He mentioned efforts to deploy drones with the support of donors to enhance surveillance across various locations. He also commended the police force for providing effective services during recent floods.
