WhatsApp Governance in AP: Minister Nara Lokesh Launches 'Mana Mitra' Services
The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a new WhatsApp-based governance initiative called 'Mana Mitra – Government in People's Hands.' Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the service at his residence in Undavalli. The initiative aims to provide various citizen services through WhatsApp, allowing residents to submit requests, receive essential information, and obtain government-issued certificates without visiting offices. The state government has designated WhatsApp number 95523 00009 for these services.

In the first phase, the government is offering 161 different services across departments such as Road Transport Corporation (RTC), Revenue, Municipal Administration, Energy, and Endowments. With this initiative, citizens will no longer need to visit government offices for certificates and official documents.

Through WhatsApp, the government will also disseminate crucial information related to weather updates, floods, electricity, healthcare, substation repairs, tourism, and infrastructure developments. Additionally, residents can obtain various certificates, including trade licenses and land records, and make online payments for property taxes and electricity bills.

To submit a grievance or request, users need to send a message to the provided WhatsApp number. They will receive a link where they must enter their name, address, phone number, and details of their request. Once submitted, a reference number will be generated, allowing them to track the status of their request.
