In India’s batting lineup, Hardik Pandya stood out with a top score of 40 runs. Opener Abhishek Sharma contributed 24 runs, while Tilak Varma scored 18, Axar Patel 15, and captain Suryakumar Yadav added 14 runs. However, other batters underperformed, with opener Sanju Samson managing just 3 runs, Washington Sundar 6, and Dhruv Jurel 2.
England’s bowlers played a pivotal role in the victory. Jamie Overton claimed three wickets, while Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse took two wickets each. Mark Wood and Adil Rashid chipped in with one wicket apiece.
With this win, England has reduced India’s lead in the series to 2-1. The fourth T20 match between the two teams is scheduled to take place on January 31 in Pune.
