YS Jagan Gets Relief in Supreme Court
The bench, comprising Justice B.V. Nagarathna and Justice P.S. Narasimha, delivered the judgment, emphasizing that the disproportionate assets case against Jagan is already being handled by the Telangana High Court. Referring to prior rulings on cases involving elected representatives, the court stated that the same principles apply to this case as well.
Additionally, the bench instructed the trial court to conduct daily hearings on the matter and advised the High Court to oversee the progress. It also noted that there was no need to transfer the case to another state. Following this, Raghu Rama Krishna Raju's counsel requested permission to withdraw the petitions, which the court accepted.
