Major Mishap Averted at Rajahmundry Airport

A significant accident was narrowly avoided at Rajahmundry Airport as a portion of the under-construction terminal building collapsed. The incident occurred due to the collapse of several pillars within the new terminal structure. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported as workers were at a safe distance when the collapse took place.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the mishap. Officials are probing whether poor construction quality contributed to the incident. This inquiry will seek to determine if there were lapses in the building standards or materials used.

The construction of the new terminal was recently inspected by Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu. This collapse, occurring within a month of his visit, has raised questions about the quality of the ongoing project.
