Telangana Government’s Success in Davos: Record-Breaking Investments Secured

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s visit to Davos, aimed at attracting significant investments to Telangana, concluded on a highly successful note. Over the three-day visit, the Telangana government signed investment agreements worth ₹1.32 lakh crore, marking a record-breaking achievement. These investments are expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 46,000 people.

The Telangana delegation, led by Revanth Reddy under the “Telangana Rising” initiative, surpassed expectations during this year’s Davos trip. The state signed critical Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with ten prominent companies, marking a threefold increase in investments compared to last year’s Davos visit, which secured ₹40,232 crore.

The companies entering into agreements with the Telangana government include:

    Amazon Web Services (AWS): Investment of ₹60,000 crore in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud services, and data centers.
    JSW: AI data center with an investment of ₹800 crore.
    CtrlS Datacenters: AI data center cluster worth ₹10,000 crore.
    Sun Petro Chemicals: Solar projects and pumped storage hydroelectric power investments totaling ₹45,500 crore.
    Megha Engineering: Pumped storage energy generation, battery energy storage systems, and a world-class luxury wellness resort with a total investment of ₹15,000 crore.
    Skyroot Aerospace: Integrated private rocket manufacturing and testing unit worth ₹500 crore.

Additionally, major companies such as Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, and Unilever have committed to significant investments in the state.

The Telangana delegation is set to conclude its visit and return to Hyderabad this evening. They are expected to arrive in Hyderabad tomorrow.
