Hardik Pandya’s Milestone: Moves Ahead in India’s T20 Wicket Rankings
Currently, Arshdeep Singh leads the chart with 97 wickets, followed by Yuzvendra Chahal at 96. Hardik Pandya now occupies the third spot with 91 wickets, followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Hardik Pandya debuted in the T20 format for India in January 2016 during a match against Australia. So far, he has played 110 T20 internationals, amassing 1,700 runs and picking up 91 wickets. In ODIs, he has featured in 86 matches, scoring 1,769 runs and taking 84 wickets. Additionally, he has appeared in 11 Test matches, but he hasn’t been part of India’s Test squad since 2021.
In June 2022, Pandya captained Team India in a T20 match against Ireland, leading to widespread speculation that he would become the permanent captain for the format. He also served as the vice-captain during the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, in an unexpected development, Suryakumar Yadav was later appointed as the new T20 captain.
