Shobana Joins Balakrishna in Akhanda 2 as a Sanyasini

In light of the resounding success of the blockbuster Akhanda, the collaboration between Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu has paved the way for the highly anticipated sequel, Akhanda 2 – Tandava. The film's pre-production puja ceremonies have been completed, and regular shooting has already commenced at the Maha Kumbh Mela, a significant and auspicious setting.

Director Boyapati Srinu, speaking about the shoot, expressed excitement over filming amidst millions of devotees, aghoras, and naga sadhus at the Kumbh Mela. He noted that the inclusion of these elements aligns with the film’s theme of aghora-based characters, adding that shooting in such a grand and challenging environment posed a unique test for the production team.

Reports suggest that the upcoming movie will feature veteran actress Shobana in a pivotal role as a sanyasini. Speculation hints that her character will showcase multiple dimensions, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative. The filmmakers are also said to be finalizing other key roles, potentially involving actors from various industries, to enhance the film’s appeal.
