Medical Student Commits Suicide at Nellimarla Medical College
In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old medical student named Atukuri Sai Manideep died by suicide at the MIMS Medical College in Nellimarla, Vizianagaram district. Sai Manideep hailed from Nidumolu in West Godavari district and was pursuing medical education at the college.
According to sources, Sai Manideep was distressed after failing his second-year MBBS exams. His inability to progress at the same pace as his peers reportedly led to severe emotional turmoil. Unable to cope with the pressure, he consumed pesticide in his hostel room.
The incident came to light when other students noticed that Sai Manideep was unresponsive and forced open the door to his room. Upon finding him in an unconscious state, they immediately informed the college management.
Police arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. The tragedy has plunged Sai Manideep’s family into deep sorrow, leaving his community in shock.
