CM Chandrababu to Embark on Davos Visit Tomorrow: Full Schedule Revealed
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is set to leave for the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos tomorrow, January 19. The visit aims to attract substantial investments to the state by promoting "Brand AP." The forum, known for hosting global business leaders, offers a platform to highlight Andhra Pradesh's strengths in human resources, infrastructure, government incentives, and ease of doing business policies.
Since assuming office, Chandrababu Naidu has been actively working to secure investments for the state. Several prominent companies, including Google, have already signed agreements to invest in Andhra Pradesh. Cumulatively, investment agreements exceeding ₹4 lakh crore have been finalized, with some projects already underway. Notable upcoming projects include the ArcelorMittal steel plant and initiatives by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
Itinerary Highlights:
Chandrababu Naidu will depart from Amaravati tomorrow evening, traveling via Delhi to Zurich. Upon arrival in Zurich, he is scheduled to meet the Indian Ambassador before holding discussions with a group of 10 industrialists at the Hilton Hotel. Later, he will interact with members of the Telugu diaspora at the Hyatt Hotel under the theme "Meet and Greet with Telugu Diaspora," focusing on promoting investments in Andhra Pradesh.
From Zurich, Chandrababu Naidu will travel by road to Davos, where he will participate in a dinner meeting with industrial leaders and hold a one-on-one discussion with ArcelorMittal Executive Chairman Lakshmi Mittal on the first evening.
On the second day, the Chief Minister will attend a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) session on green hydrogen and meet with CEOs and chairpersons of major corporations, including Solar Impulse, Coca-Cola, Welspun, LG, Carlsberg, Cisco, Walmart International, and Cognizant Technologies. A meeting with UAE Finance Minister Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri is also planned.
In addition, Chandrababu Naidu will take part in a WEF panel discussion on "Energy Transition: Where Public Policy Meets Private Goals" and another session titled "The Next Wave: Pioneering the Blue Economy of Tomorrow." He is also scheduled to engage with national and international media outlets, including giving interviews to Bloomberg, to promote Andhra Pradesh’s policies.
The third day will involve additional meetings with business leaders, with Chandrababu Naidu participating in at least ten discussions daily. On the fourth day, the delegation will leave Davos for Zurich before returning to India.
