Chandrababu Participates in Green Walk, Lays Foundation for Sewage Project
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today launched the "Swachh Andhra Swachh Divas" program in Maidukuru, YSR District. As part of the event, he participated in a Green Walk alongside sanitation workers, starting from Royal Centre and culminating at Zilla Parishad High School. At the school, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a sewage treatment project.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu emphasized that a poverty-free society is achievable under the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He credited former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao for protecting Anantapur District from turning into a barren desert and laying the foundation for projects like Telugu Ganga, Handri-Neeva, and Galeru-Nagari to transform Rayalaseema into a prosperous region.

The Chief Minister highlighted TDP’s efforts in promoting micro-irrigation systems by providing 90% subsidies, a policy he claimed the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government discontinued. However, under the alliance government, TDP has reinstated the 90% subsidy, Chandrababu stated. He further claimed that the TDP eradicated factional feuds in Kadapa, transforming the region into a peaceful place.

Chandrababu underscored the importance of the Polavaram project, describing it as the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. He pointed out that thousands of TMCs of water are currently being wasted into the sea below Polavaram. Completing the project is his dream, he declared, noting that an additional ₹85,000 crore is required to finish it. He explained that once completed, Polavaram will supply 300 TMCs of water, turning Rayalaseema into a fertile region.

Reaffirming his commitment to Rayalaseema, the Chief Minister said he was born in the region and vowed to repay his debt by making it flourish. He highlighted his vision of bringing water to Banakacharla and developing the Rajolibanda project to irrigate 90,000 acres of land.

Reflecting on technological progress, Chandrababu mentioned that while some once ridiculed Information Technology, the TDP has now introduced "WhatsApp Governance" and is leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver better public services. He also claimed that the alliance government is completing railway projects and improving road infrastructure in the state.

The Chief Minister proudly announced that TDP has achieved a milestone of one crore memberships and assured full support to party workers. He added that the party provides ₹5 lakh insurance coverage to members in the event of their death.
