Nara Lokesh Makes Interesting Comments on TDP in Telangana
Andhra Pradesh Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh has stated that discussions are underway regarding the revival of the party in Telangana. Speaking to the media, Lokesh announced that a comprehensive plan for the party's future activities in the state would soon be unveiled. He added that the TDP is planning to launch various initiatives in Telangana in the near future.

Lokesh highlighted that 1.60 lakh people in Telangana have recently taken TDP membership despite the party not having any sitting Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the state. He described this as a significant achievement and evidence of the party's enduring appeal and public support in Telangana.

During his address at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad, where he paid tribute to the late TDP founder and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) on his 29th death anniversary, Lokesh spoke about NTR's legacy. He credited NTR with instilling a sense of pride among Telugu-speaking people during a time when they were disparagingly referred to as "Madrasis."

Lokesh emphasized that the TDP would continue to move forward with NTR's ideals as its guiding principle. He also expressed hope that the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, would be conferred upon NTR in recognition of his contributions.
