Indian worker hangs self in UAE

Dubai, March 16, 2015: An Indian worker was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his accommodation in the emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), police said. The body of the 29-year-old was found Sunday afternoon, Gulf News reported. The worker was believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope, the official said. The body was sent to Kuwait Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for a postmortem, police added. A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched. The worker was reported to have been suffering from depression due to psychological and social problems, which might have prompted him to end his life.
