AP not serious about Capital City, world class or whatever ?

Hyderabad, March 13, 2015: Is the AP Government not serious about constructing capital city, world-class or otherwise? The Government is not serious on the issue, the Union Urban Development Ministry thinks so at least, if not you and me. The Union Government has come to this conclusion based on the meager allocation of Rs. 303.26 Cr made by the state government in itgs budget towards development of Capital while the Centre has promised to release Rs.1000 Cr for the purpose by this month end. The paltry allocation was part of the allotment of Rs.3168 Cr made for urban development. Finance Ministry officials claimed they had in fact allocated Rs.1000 Cr for the Capital city construction and said they were clueless as to how the allocation was diverted to other sections. When asked about the paltry allocation, Chief Minister Chandrababu acted innocent and said he did not know how it happened and promised to look into the matter. Why was the amount of Rs.1000 Cr promised by the Centre not mentioned in the budget? Is it that the Government wants spend only Rs. 303 Cr as shown in the budget and consume the Rs.1000 Cr promised by the Centre for some other purpose? When confronted about it, Finance Minster Yanamala said he would release more funds in the future for the purpose. But he failed to answer how.
