Nitish Kumar Reddy, a 21-year-old cricketer, has become the talk of the cricketing world after his remarkable century at the prestigious Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The performance was the highlight of the third day of the Boxing Day Test. Playing only his fourth Test match, the young cricketer showcased exceptional skill and composure, scoring a century against a formidable bowling lineup of the host team.

What made this achievement even more impressive was the context in which it came. Batting at number eight, Nitish Reddy walked in during a critical phase of the match when the team was under pressure. His century not only stabilized the innings but also demonstrated his resilience and capability in high-stakes situations.

As Nitish Reddy completed his century with a boundary, Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, who was in the commentary box, gave him a standing ovation. Gavaskar, visibly elated, praised the young talent enthusiastically, calling it a "superb innings." He lauded Nitish Reddy as a promising talent for Indian cricket and commended his combination of skill and temperament. The Little Master expressed his hope that the youngster would score many more centuries in the future.
