Allu Arjun’s Urgent Petition in Telangana High Court Post Arrest
Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun, arrested in connection with the Sandhya Theatre incident, filed an urgent petition in the Telangana High Court seeking immediate relief. His legal team requested an early hearing, referring to a previously filed petition to dismiss the case.
The court, however, questioned why the petition was not mentioned at 10:30 AM as per standard procedure. Despite his lawyer Niranjan Reddy’s argument for urgency, the Public Prosecutor opposed the request, calling the lunch-motion hearing inappropriate.
Allu Arjun’s lawyer urged the court to direct police not to take any action against the actor until Monday. In response, the government’s lawyer stated that the police would gather details and present a report by 4 PM, prompting the court to defer the hearing.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand confirmed the actor's arrest, while Law and Order Commissioner Vikram Singh Mann stated that medical tests were conducted at Gandhi Hospital, after which the actor would be presented in court.
