Police book case against fraudster Avinash as Dy CM claims no relation
Kakinada, March 10, 2015: East Godavari district SP Ravi Prakash told reporters here on Tuesday that they have booked a case against one Avinash, who claimed himself to be a close relative of deputy chief minister China Rajappa and collected money from people in the name of providing jobs to them.
It may be recalled that Avinash, who hails from Rajahmundry, had reportedly collected huge amounts from people promising them jobs.
Besides posing himself as a representative of the UN working in AP and claiming to be a relative of China Rajappa, Avinash used to move in luxurious cars to influence people. Reports said he beat up some people threatening them with dire consequences for lodging complaints against him.
After complaints were received from people about his cheating activities, Peddapuram police arrested him and immediately released him after they found he was a relative of the deputy Chief minister China Rajappa.
As a TV channel telecast the story giving publicity to the incident, the minister himself attracted criticism from several quarters for reportedly encouraging his relatives to indulge in fraudulent activities.
However, China Rajappa later said Avinash was not his relative and he has nothing to do with his activities.
It was after this statement of the minister that police have booked a case and said they would investigate.
