Once again, Chandrababu fumes at Centre for raw deal
Hyderabad, March 9, 2015: Once again expressing his displeasure at the raw deal given to AP by the Centre in its annual budget, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said it is high time that the state fought for its rights.
Addressing the TDLP meeting here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that it is very sad that adequate budgetary funds were not allotted for the state by the Centre.
"We have got only Rs.500 Cr towards a revenue deficit of Rs.17,000 Cr and Rs.100 Cr against the asked Rs.2000 Cr for the Polavaram Project," he said, asking the MLAs to get ready to fight to ensure justice for the state.
Describing Polavaram project as the life line of AP, Chandrababu expressed his annoyance that it will take at least 100 years to complete the project at this rate of funds allotment.
"Despite my best efforts, there was no favourable response from the Centre towards allotment of funds," he said, adding that it is not correct for the Centre to trouble the people who were not at fault.
