Anuskha reduces fee drastically, brings cheers to producers

Chennai, March 9, 2015: Actress Anushka, who is going great guns in both Tamil and Telugu movies, has drastically reduced her remuneration for a new movie being produced in Tamil bringing cheers to the industry. Anushka, the highest paid actress in the South, generally charges Rs. 3 Cr as remuneration per movie, according to reports. But one of her Tamil movies Irandam Ulagam, in which she paired with Arya and directed by Selva Raghavan, had flopped at the box office bringing disappointment to the producers. The Telugu version of the movie also failed to click. When the producers wanted to produce another movie with the same pair in the lead roles, Anushka had offered them to work for very nominal remuneration reducing her fee by a whopping amount. This gave new energy to the production House. Taking a cue from Anushka, even Arya also has reduced his fee by a whopping amount , according to reports.
