MLC Polls in AP on March 27, EC issues schedule

New Delhi, March 5, 2015: Election Commission of India has announced schedule for the MLC polls to fill five vacancies from the MLAs' constituency in AP. According to the schedule, polling will be held on March 27 to elect MLCs in place of Rudraraju Padma Raju,Basava Punnaiah, Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Tippeswami who will retire on March 28. One more vacancy has arisen after the death of Paladugu Venkat Rao. Candidates can file nominations beginning March 10. The last date for filing nominations is March 17.
