Rajnath introduces amendment bill to AP Reorganisation Act

New Delhi, March 1, 2015: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh introduced an amendment Bill to the AP Reorganisation Act in Lok Sabha on Monday. If the amendment is carried out, the number of seats in the AP Legislative Council will go up to 58.Similarly, the number will go up in Telangana too. TRS member Vinod objected to the introduction of the amendment bill saying that the Centre should have consulted the two states before introducing the bill. "You should have introduced a comprehensive amendment bill incorporating proposals to solve all issues that are bothering the two states," Vinod told the minster. Rajnath told Vinod that the amendment bill is in tune with the Reorganisation Act.
