Metro rail not to come on to tracks for this Ugadi

Hyderabad, March 2, 2015: It is official now. As reports in the past two days have indicated, Hyderabad Metro Rail is not coming on to the tracks for this Ugadi. Metro Rail MD MVS Reddy told reporters here on Monday that the first phase of the project is not commencing for Ugadi due to technical reasons. As per the original schedule, the first phase of the Metro Rail services , from Nagole to Mettuguda, is scheduled to begin on forthcoming Ugadi day. In fact, the construction of rail stations between Nagole and Mettuguda is almost complete and are ready to serve the metro rail passengers. MVS Reddy made it clear that the Metro Rail services would begin only after the entire project works are completed.
