Dasari: Telugu cinema history grabbed , hijacked
Hyderabad, March 1, 2015: In a sensational accusation, veteran Tollywood director Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao has said that some unscrupulous people have hijacked and grabbed the Telugu cinema history. Speaking at a book-unveiling programme here on Sunday, Dasari said those who have grabbed the Telugu cinema history are trying to close it down. "Not just cinema theaters have been grabbed. The entire Telugu cinema history too has been grabbed and hijacked," he said, adding that great writers are needed to pen the history of Telugu cinema. Regretting that the word 'Naidu' has been removed from the Raghupati Venkaiah Naidu Award, Dasari said the caste name was not found objectionable in K.V.Reddy and B.N.Reddy awards. Dasari has also asked the writers not to prepare stories based on the body language of the heroes.
