Telangana ignored in Rly. budget: YSRCP
Hyderabad, Feb 27: Expressing dissent over the Railway budget, Telangana unit of YSR Congress has said Chief Ministers of both states should react adequately to highlight the neglect.
“While TDP has an alliance, TRS has no such understanding but still has been silent on the injustice meted out to Telangana state,” party spokesperson Konda Raghava Reddy told media persons here Friday.
It is a known fact that the second railway line between Hyderabad and Mahboobnagar covering 111 km will cost Rs 1,200 crore but what was allocated was a paltry Rs 27.44 crores and the Party that has promised Golden Telangana is silent.
While children are dying at unmanned railway crossings, there is no mention of construction of under-ways and over-bridges and the Railway University at Warangal was totally ignored. No funds were allotted to the Kachiguda station which is nearing completion.
For the Kurnool coach factory, just Rs 50 lakhs were sanctioned against the required Rs 10 cores.
There are many other issues to be raised as TRS has not reacted, we will take up the cause and under the leadership of Khammam MP and our President, P Srinivas Reddy we will represent to the Railway Minister and Prime Minister as well, he said.
