Capital farmers take out rally holding Jana Sena flags

Vijayawada, Feb 27, 2015: Farmers unwilling to hand over their lands for capital city construction took out a rally at Betapudi village in Guntur district on Friday holding the Jana Sena party flags and images of actor Pawan Kalyan. The people and farmers who participated in the rally raised slogans in favour of actor Pawan Kalyan and against land pooling. Throughout the rally, they made it clear they can not give their lands for capital city. They raised slogans asking Pawan Kalyan to interfere in the matter and ensure that they are not put to losses with the land pooling policy. "We voted for TDP in the last elections based on the appeals of actor Pawan Kalyan. Now , we are subjected to losses. We want to take the issue to his notice," they said , reiterating their unwillingness to hand over their fertile lands. Some of the farmers said that they had given their lands twice in the past and were cheated by the Government. "Again, our lands are being taken in the name of packages," they said.
